Felt a jacket and dye it in mediumprint technique.

What makes wet felting easy? You will learn how to felt WITHOUT a sander! And you won't need a huge workspace - Martha has her own approach to working with templates.
What's in the master class?
The main work is the "Mirage" jacket. But it is always better to start with a sample in order to test materials and work out the technique, so Martha included a "Mirage baktus" felting and dyeing tutorial.

You will receive a detailed video of the entire process of laying out, felting and dyeing.

Master class includes a pattern of a jacket, suitable for sizes 44-56 (EU) and a handout, with a written "Mirage" coat step-by-step tutorial.
Materials for felting:
  1. Falkland wool (20.7 micron) or merino wool 18-21 micron
  2. Gauze silk - 4 m , 70 cm wide
  3. Bubble wrap
  4. Liquid soap
  5. Thin garbage bags -1 packing
  6. Mesh to control foaming
Please note that Martha does not use an vibrating sander when felting!
Materials for dyeing:
  1. Sea salt - 1 tablespoon
  2. Vinegar or apple cider vinegar - 100-150 g
  3. Iron sulfate - 1/2 teaspoon
  4. Acid dyes for wool and silk
  5. Cling film - roll
  6. Synthetic napkins for cleaning - roll
  7. Rubber gloves
  8. Fresh or dry leaves (pre-soaked for 30 minutes in hot water)

Marta Dorofeeva
Marta Dorofeeva is a professional feltmaker with more than 10 years of felting experience.
She is a happy mother of three, already a grandma. She started her career as a mechanical engineer of film equipment, but soon became an artist. Now her products are sold in stores of Barcelona and in the Gallery of Girona. She participates in exhibitions of local Spanish artists.

She teaches felting to small children at school, organizes workshops for Spanish women, and via Skype - for women from all over the world. Martha loves experimenting with wool and enjoys testing everything herself. She says, she's in a constant search of making the process of felting easier.
